SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative, technical, and professional work in administering and managing multiple facility personnel functions including compensation, recruitment selection, benefitscounseling, worker's compensation, and supervising the security staff; dealing with non-union and/or employee relations. Specific responsibilities include advertising, recruiting, interviewing, assisting in selection of Team Members to fillvacant positions, managing the Team Member retention program; compiling information regarding the plant's Affirmative Action plan; representing Tyson at Unemployment Appeal hearings keeping records of insurance coverage, pension plans, andpersonnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and preparing reports such as turnover percentages, affirmative action reports, personnel activity reports, and accident reports; monitoring adherence to safety regulations including OSHA laws, Workers Compensation, EEO and ADA employment/labor laws, developing curriculum and conducting training for supervisors and crew relating to safety, Team Member relations, employment policies, and monitoring all disciplinary actions taken to ensure they are consistent and fair; attend and participate in community functions as a Tyson representative, working with attorneys in all facility related legal activities, and performing other responsibilities as they arise. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related discipline or equivalent work experience. Experience: 3 plus years of experience in team member relations. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills. Bi-lingual-Spanish a plus. Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year. Frequent travel between facilities. Special Skills: Broad knowledge of HR field; working knowledge of HR laws and regulations, Team Member benefits, safety and health concepts; strong labor relations experience. Strong analytical and problem solving skills; good presentation skills.
