The Bergaila Companies Plant Operations Technician in Coalgate, Oklahoma

We are currently seeking a Plant Operations Technician for a long- term contract position with a leading midstream services firm in Coalgate, OK. Our client owns, operates, acquires and develops midstream energy assets.

The Plant Operations Technician will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the operating of natural gas plant and pipeline equipment including but not limited to treating plants, reciprocating natural gas compressors, dehydrators, fluid separation equipment, valves, gas measurement equipment, etc.

  • Operating the plant equipment and system may include, but is not limited to:

    • Adjusting controls to operate equipment in the recommended or prescribed operating ranges.

    • Visually inspecting equipment and controls at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication.

  • Operating valves

  • Monitoring Plant and Pipeline Operations and respond appropriately to emergency or upset conditions.

  • Implementing safe work practices and participates in proactive safety culture while ensuring safety for the employee, the public, and the environment at all times.

  • Assisting with monitoring of gas gathering system through SCADA and notifies plant supervisor of situations that could affect gas deliveries.

  • Reading, monitoring, and recording various operating conditions such as pressures, temperatures, hours of operation, fuel consumed, water levels, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • 2+ years of related work experience

  • Gas Plant/Pipeline/Field related experience

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.

  • Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office Software

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objective and the ability to work shifts for plant or field conditions.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, and pull\push at least a minimum of 75lbs.

  • Ability to work in changing climate conditions and in a plant environment.

  • Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.

  • Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex).

  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
